A Love Affair With the Wind by Dontre K. Johnson
Does love have to be embodied in something? We love people and there may even be certain places one may go to that reminds them of love. Many people love their pets or a particular material possession. Yet, absent the house of something physical, something tangible, something manifested in a noun, is it possible to hold love or cradle it in our arms? Can it be that we know not the true essence of the powerful word love. We flippantly fling the word about using it as comfort, manipulation, and even as a weapon. However, most have only a superficial understanding of but two facets of this word, which is made up of three components. Most know of Erotic love and Brotherly love, yet lack in fully comprehending the purest love that's accessible to us by God. The writings contained between the cover of this sophomore collection of poetry, "A Love Affair with the Wind" written by businessman and poet Dontre Johnson, also known as Loud Thoughtz, speaks to the relics of the pure God type of love...Relationships and Emotions. These two words are distinct within themselves yet are always found in communion with erotic and brotherly love. Hence, we have Relationships, Emotions and Love in Communion (RELIC). I write of my personal perspectives and experiences on the relics from love, the highs and lows, perplexed situation, and those fully understood to be what they were. "A Love Affair with the Wind" is composed of three chapters, "A Warm Breeze", "Overcast", and "The Tempest". Though it is a collection of poetry, the work is arranged to be read as a storyline from front to back. I hope the readers enjoy the stops, quick turns, plunges, and loops of this collection.Businessman and Poet,Dontre (Loud Thoughtz) Johnson
